Paint removal from concrete driveway?

Hi,

Last week I accidentally spilt a can of white paint in my driveway. I didnt want to try clean it up there and then in case i made it worse, so i let it harden. My driveway is just concrete. I have heard from a few people that there is a product that you can purchase that you simply pour on the paint, leave it for about an hour and then hose it away with water. Is there such a product? and if so, whats it called and where can i purchase it?

or if not, then what else could i do to remove this paint?

Thanks.

Dave.

  1. If I were you I would try a pressure washer. Based on your description, it should come off in chunks..... If this doesn't work, at least it won't hurt. You should probably not use the most concentrated spayer as this would leave lines in the driveway.  Good Luck

  2. why don't you just paint the rest of your driveway white too

  3. I did similar on my front porch... dumped some dark blue trim paint on the concrete.  I decided to just leave it alone (it dried completely) and later on, when pressure washing my house off, decided to try using it on the paint... it peeled right off with no effort.

If you can get a pressure washer, use that.  No chemicals to worry about, and you can wash any spiderwebs off your garage or house while you're at it!  ;)

  4. I would say the easiest way would be to go get yourself some Peel away (it also happens to be a green and safe product) You apply and come back an hour later and wash off like you said or peel it off! Best of luck on your project!
