Okay. so... Due to somebody's negligance, maroon paint has spilt all over my sand colored linolieum floor. I tried wiping it up with towels (pretty sure they are all ruined for good) and now there is marron smear everwhere... I cannot clean this up all day. i move out tomorrow and i have no help. I have no newspapers, no more towels, nothing really.... ugh i feel hopeless and helpless.. any ideas?

  1. If it's latex paint, try HOT water first.  Wet a terry cloth towel and place it over the paint, then try to wipe it up.

Goof Off MAY remove the color from your linoleum or melt it.  Try it in an inconspicuous place first.  Goo-Gone is a citrus based cleaner and should remove the stain.  Again, test it in an inconspicuous place first.

  2. Go to your nearest hardware store and buy a can of GOOF OFF.

It' strong enough to bring up the paint but won't hurt your floor.

You can also try lighter fluid or industrial hand cleaner.

  3. i agree with Dan H, but if its oil based paint you'll probably need some mineral spirits

  4. go to the store and buy OOPS its takes paint off floors lipstick off clothes and sticker redidue off things like mirrors and glass its a great product
