  1. wow... 13 year old ref. impressive...

i haven't reffed, but things i DON'T like about some refs:

    1. he/she is being an ***hole with anger management issues

    2. the ref isn't watching the game and talking with other people

    3. they don't watch closely

for example, sometimes i shoot the **** out of this guy and he wipes. the ref over there is standing at a corner where his/her angle is sorta blocked

** when you ref for recball, walk around with a bright colored towel. saves lots of confusion... trust me

** you should get a megaphone... that would be a first...

i never you could ref when you are 13... i should try it... hmmm...

  2. I have no experience as a ref (I'm not old enough to be one), but I hate it when refs just sit behind some cover and don't even watch the game. You should pay attention to all the players, especially if it's a competitive game (They might ask for a paint check). When you're between games waiting in the staging area, make sure you socialize with the players. They might be more likely to do what you say if you're friendly with them.

For the player tips... Hmm I'll put it in a list.

-Don't ever be scared to run out in the open between cover, but don't be over confident either.

-You should learn to dive or slide, the right way. It's really helpful if you're in a game with tons of shooting. For sliding, you  don't need to be complicated, just do a hip slide or knee slide. For diving you need to practice the superman.

-Practice walking the trigger. If you don't know what that is, look for it on youtube or google or something.

-Off the break, try to get as far as possible without getting shot. If the other team isn't shooting at you, you could go as far as 40 or 50.
