I just got done painting my room and i have two guinea pigs that live in my room. Of course we had to move everything out so my guinea pigs are in the living room. When can i move them back in. I don't want them to get sick because of the fumes.

Also: I used to have a guinea pig a couple years ago and i painted my room. We moved him back in that night and a couple days later he died. Do you think the paint fumes did that to him?

  1. possibly. I would wait and leave him in the living room for a couple of days until the fumes are less strong.

  2. I would wait a week. Or until you can no longer smell the fresh paint.

  3. Until you can no longer smell the fumes. Remember your piggies noses are a lot more sensitive that ours and so when we can't smell the fumes they probably still can. Maybe leave the window open so the air can circulate, keep them well ventilated, just to be on the safe side :)

  4. I would say the first answer is right. I would wait at least until you cant smell the fumes from the paint very strong before you decide to put it back in the bedroom with you.
