Do you like to be alone when you paint?

Are you alone when you come up with ideas for paintings?

I'm always alone when I paint. I turn on the music and get lost in it.

I like to paint with company it gives me ideas and helps me complete the work much faster it sounds weired but its dose and still makes my work look very good.

Although i have a space for painting, i usually paint in the kitchen after dinner using a table top easel, and with five kid in the house i'm never alone till their bed time comes around. I'm use to them moving around the house or looking over my shoulder while i paint. As for my painting ideas...i'm usually alone late at night and maybe thumbing through an art book and if an idea comes to mind i'll do a small quick sketch with notes. Ideas can come in any place and at any time.  I prefer to work inside.  Being outside in the open air doesn't work for me.  I might take photographs as reference pictures but the main ideas are in my head.  Only recently I've started to paint using acrylics and this in now my preferred medium.

I like to be alone but have the tv or music going. Even if I'm not paying attention to it, I like something going on. I usually paint in my livingroom.
