Question:

Painting Boo Boos....How Do I Fix?

I am painting the interior of an old home that I plan to rent. The landlord stripped the walls of wallpaper and put primer and caulking around the ceiling and baseboards so I can't use tape because it strips off the caulking. Even with an edger, I can't make a neat line at the ceiling or baseboard. How do I correct the edges to make look neater?

  1. its a rental so no reason to look perfect

  2. Scotch blue painters tape shouldn't remove the caulking.  Use a blade to cut away the excess caulking.  If there are high spots and such, a block sander is also very useful.  I hope i understood the question correctly.
