Painting Veneer Wood....I bought some really cheap tables that have a veneer finish on them, and I was ?

wondering what kind of paint I can use on them to spruce them up. I realize that it will be tricky and I'll have to repaint them again later, but I'd like to give it a try. Any suggestions?

is it a wood veneer or a plastic laminate veneer? both will be easy and long lasting if done properly

sand the finish to get it dull primer, than use whatever paint you want on them
