  1. Latex paint is safe when you are pregnant.  Any other paint is very full of fumes, and even if it is well ventalated can be dangerous to both you and the baby.    Also, you should paint in intervals, taking breaks to get away from the smell.

  2. As long as it's water based paint I don't see a problem especially in a room with open widows and a mask. Who said it was wrong?

  3. Make sure you paint it well with safe paint -- especially the crib railings. Babies will gnaw on those when they are teething and you don't want your baby eating paint chips, whether there's lead in it or no, I don't think it's part of a balanced baby diet.

  4. I painted my son's room at 22 weeks. I asked my doctor and he said as long as you are painting in a well ventilated room with latex paint it shouldn't be a problem.

  5. The fumes from paint can hurt the baby. Ask your husband if he wouldn't mind doing it?

  6. If you are pregnant, you may paint with latex paint.  Oil based and others have strong odors which despite ventilation, you will inhale.

  7. u still may breath in fumes but u are being sensible by wearing a mask and having the window open. i know i did things i shouldnt of done when preg. dont worry
