Question:

Painting on bookbag? (Acrylics on Eastsport bag)?

Mmmmkay guys. I've purchased a simple black East sport bookbag for my senior year. And just like everything else, I broke out my acrylics and painted a nice little character on it. It takes up...virtually the entire front of the bag. So what can I do to preserve this painting? My bookbag will get usage, but is there anything I can use to keep the painting from falling apart when I use the bag? Some kind of fixative maybe?

  1. wow. this is the SAME question i had before. there are varnishes u can buy to put on top of it.  here's a link to mine. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

but really u should have gone to a paint shop and asked them for special canvas paints. u paint, then iron over it (it's safe) and then the colors are infused and permanent.  i found out about them after i painted my acrylic pic. but next time.

for my canvas pic a paint shop guy actually suggested that i get a clear coat of those paints and cover my pic with it. then iron it when dry. i need to test it somewhere else first just in case.

I got the Jacquard textile paint (colorless extender)- check it

    out online =]

JUST TO CLARIFY- u iron on reverse side. AND it's WASHABLE afterward.
