Question:

Painting toy soldiers?

I'm getting some unpainted plastic toy soldier samurai and I'm considering painting them. I currently have no model paints. All I have is just some black enamel and some other matte paints that claim they are permanent.

How do you think the paints will hold?

Should I make the black enamel a base layer to allow for better paint "stickage"?

Should I just plain skip over the paints I currently own and just buy some new model paints?

Any help is of great value!
