Pakaged frozen vegetables contain refined-added sugar?

Do the packaged and frozen vegetables contain added refined sugar or are they just natural sugar. I am talking about brands like Green Giant, Freshlike-the "frozen ones"-corn, broccoli and peas and others. I need to know because i am supposed to stay off of added "REFINED" sugar. Thanks

  1. Read the ingredient label is all I can say.  The frozen veggies and fruit that I get have no added anything, I make sure of that.

  2. Additives such as salt and sugar should be on the label.  If it says "sugar" on the label, it's refined sugar.

  3. None of the ones I buy have added sugar unless maybe you buy the veggies in sauce.

  4. Read the ingredient line.  Good advice for anyone anytime.  If they are just frozen vegetable they should just have maybe a little brine with them and nothing else.

If they have a sauce with them then the ingredient line will tell you the components.  I worked for a frozen vegetable manufacturer and the bagged vegetable did not have anything added to them except a little salt water during the blanch.
