Speaking about his recent appointment as captain of the national team in the shorter version of the game, the 37-year old batsman from Mianwali, stated that it is a pleasant experience to lead the home side in the limited overs game.

However, the mild-mannered middle-order batsman has insisted that age is of no concern as he is still fitter than most players in the national team. He said that passion to learn and become a top batsman helped him continue cricket well after his prime age.
