He rubbished rumours that there were some other reasons behind the feud and insisted that Afridi lost his temper when head coach, Waqar Younis, suggested the selection of certain players for the two games.
He insisted that he had advised both skipper and coach to resolve their differences before going into team meetings, however, Afridi disclosed the matter to the media upon his return home after the end of the five-match ODI series.
He stressed that the last time Afridi talked with him, the 31-year old all-rounder clarified that he had no problems with the manager.
