Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) desperate for resumption of cricket ties with India
According to sources, officials of the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peter-Willey-c81951 have detailed discussions in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) meeting next month.
"So far we have not discussed anything concrete with the Indians so far but we are looking at a June meeting to get the ball rolling", a senior PCB official stated.
After the semi final of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011 between Pakistan and India at Mohali, Pakistan has shown great interest to restart cricketing affairs with India.
"Yes, we are keen on resuming bilateral ties because the signals during the meeting the Indian Prime Minister had in Mohali were very positive", Subhan Ahmad, PCB Chief Operating Officer said.
Before the semi final clash, Pakistan played against India during the Asia Cup in June 2010 at Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
A series held in 2007-2008 was the last cricket series between India and Pakistan. After the terrorist attack on the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758’s team in Lahore on March 3, 2009, international cricket teams are not visiting Pakistan.
