On Saturday, May 26, Pakistan Cricket Board announced the central contracts for the current players representing Pakistan, placing former skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128.
However, the hard-hitting batsman made a comeback after the departure of Butt, on finishing his term as the PCB boss.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Rehman-c41625 have also been retained in the 'A' category. According to the board, the players in this category will be getting a monthly salary of 313,000 rupees.
Officials in the board, believe that the raise in salaries will help in boosting morale of the players, who will be taking on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 next month.
"There are increased salaries after three years with a hope that it will be a morale booster for the players," said a PCB statement.
Taufiq Umar, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Malik-c90088, who has made a comeback in the central contract category since he was dropped due to an internal investigation by the PCB in connection with the 2010 spot-fixing. However, after getting cleared from all charges Malik has been provided with a central contract.
Players in this category will be paid 218,000 rupees a month as salary.
Meanwhile in the category 'C', the PCB has named wicket-keepers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-Jamshed-c78752 with a monthly salary of 130,000 rupees.
