Pakistan Cricket Board considering to seek venues from India for the series against Australia – Cricket News Update
In recent developments regarding the location of neutral venues to hold the series between Pakistan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 later this year, sources suggest that the Pakistan Cricket Board is considering to ask India for venues to host the tournament.
Talking to ESPNcricinfo, PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf while favouring the idea said, “It isn't a bad idea (considering India) but a good choice to maintain the healthy relationship with them (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750), but let us see the mood there."
"But our primary purpose is to revive ties with them. However, in the meantime we have three options under consideration to host our series," he added.
Meanwhile, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397 has been invited by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to watch the final of the Indian Premier League on Sunday, May 27, an invitation which was accepted by the PCB chairman.
It is expected that he will discuss the matter of hosting the series against Australia with the BCCI officials, but would also be seeking the revival of cricketing ties between the two neighbours which have been suspended since the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 terror attack in 2008.
After the attacks, India blamed Pakistan based extremist groups and suspended cricketing ties. On the other hand, Pakistan has failed to convince foreign teams to tour the country since the 2009 terrorist attacks on the touring team of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, which saw eight Pakistanis lose their lives while injuring seven Sri Lankans. The series was immediately called off and since that debacle other nations have avoided playing in the country.
