Pakistan Cricket Board looking for a batting Coach
As the Pakistan Cricket team gets ready to face the mighty http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in UAE, the Pakistan Cricket board is all set to appoint a new batting coach for the team that struggled greatly in batting this summer in England.
So far the board has not been able to finalize any big names for the batting coach of the Pakistani team; the search though started in August.
Former Test cricketer and legend http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wasim-Akram-c96292, however seems amused at this new dilemma of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The left arm bowler said that, it was a waste of time and resources to appoint another batting coach for the
national squad, because a new coach will probably confuse our batsmen even more by introducing new techniques.
The technique of players at the international level cannot be changed; however, the best one can do is help the players make the best out of their existing batting style for which the coach Waqar Younis and manager Intikhab Alam
can help with. Anyone who follows cricket is aware of the fact that if you want to correct the technique of the players, you should do it at a younger age.
Players playing for the international side are mature enough and introducing them to some new batting techniques will probably do more harm than good.
Pakistan Cricket Board should take lead from the Australian and English Cricket boards, who appoint top notch batting, bowling and fielding coaches in their respective cricket training academies.
Even with the formation of a state of the art cricket academy in Lahore, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 has still failed to produce batsmen who are flawless in their technique; the prime reason behind this, is the lack of quality coaches in the cricket
academy.
The Pakistan Cricket Board needs to stop looking at the wrong direction. International players do not need a batting coach to teach them how to bat, in fact it is the young domestic players who need such coaches, if you fix their
techniques at a younger age they will surely dominate the cricket world when they are called on national duty.
However, if an average player is helped in improving his technique, at the academy, at an early age, he will surely be a force to reckon with once he enters the international arena. All the Pakistani cricket legends who have dominated
the cricket world were raw and pure talent. But a country cannot run its sports on pure talent for eternity. One way or the other talent runs out and by that time it is already too late to eradicate the mistakes of the past.
Once natural talent is extinct, any sport will rapidly fall to its demise sooner than later. The reason why there is always new talent coming out from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and England is simple; they have a cricket structure that ensures
the refining of raw talent in their countries.
Pakistan Cricket Board needs to devise programs to coach young teenage players if they want to have any hope for a future Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis, to name a few, in order to dominate the world of cricket.
