Pakistan Cricket Board still hopeful for the return of international cricket in the country
Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) hopes regarding the return of cricket back to the country might have faced a huge dent as the Sri Lankan team refused to tour Pakistan this year because of security threats but the cricket officials are still trying their level
best to fulfill the desires of a cricket hungry nation.
On a condition of not naming his name, a PCB official said that the cricket board is looking to motivate the other cricket boards to send their junior teams to Pakistan in order to revive cricket in the country.
He revealed that Bangladesh is going to send its Under-19 team to Pakistan next month and the recent tour of Afghanistan’s cricket team is going to be a big help for Pakistan’s cause.

any incident and they were people keen to come to the ground to watch their matches".
The Afghan cricket team toured Pakistan last week and played a three match unofficial One Day International series against Pakistan A.
This is the first tour of any international cricket team to Pakistan since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in March 2009. The home team won the series 3-0 and whitewashed the opponents.

The PCB official claimed that Pakistan is capable of hosting international cricket events even though there are some security concerns in the country.
However, there is no chance at the moment that any high profile cricket team is going to visit Pakistan in near future.
“Despite the security issues Pakistan is capable of hosting international teams safely. The PCB officials will be meeting with other board officials on the sidelines of the board meeting to get them to send their junior and A teams to Pakistan", he added.
