Pakistan Cricket Board is making serious changes to reform its current cricket condition as it has appointed former batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Miandad-c66580 as the national cricket team’s batting consultant, a local television channel reported.
The current Director General of PCB would be serving as a batting consultant for the cricket team’s Test and One Day squads.
Miandad, who has already coached the national team thrice, has an impressive record of 7,381 runs in One Day Internationals and 8,832 runs in 124 Test matches.
The former Pakistani coach would be training the team in a practice camp organised by the PCB in Lahore next month as the team prepares for upcoming tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754.
Pakistan would be playing three Twenty20 matches, two Test matches and six ODIs.
Pakistan’s current squad reached the country from the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 which resulted in a draw.

Miandad expressed pleasure in his new role and said that the players need to boost their morale in every positive way after months of negativities. He agreed with team manager Intikhab Alam that Pakistani cricket is progressing in the right direction with
the players trying hard to work as a team for their country.
Sources say that PCB chairman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 took the decision on the directives of Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari who is also acting as the Patron of the board.
The former batsman has been expressing his interest in coaching as he was appointed last year as the “batting coach” for the Champions Trophy but he was not given a permanent designation by Butt.
Miandad has been pleading the foreign cricket boards to play in Pakistan as cricket is suffering in the country due to the absence of non-international cricket competitions.
He said that the world should unite together in order to help the cricket crazy nation to get their confidence and interest back in the game.
