The fans of Pakistan cricket at Gaddafi stadium Lahore witnessed a cracking game of cricket between two of their domestic giants as Karachi Dolphins and Lahore Loins displayed a marvellous painting with the bat and ball. In between, the Loins emerged as
victorious in an absorbing final, scoring a mammoth 221 runs, beating Dolphins by 37 runs. The dazzling Abdul Razzak powered Lahore Lions to their 2nd highest total of the T20 tournament, which in the end was enough, even for the strong batting
line-up of the Dolphins’ powerful batting line-up in the final match of the cup at jam packed stadium of Lahore. Loin’s openers, Ahmed Shehzad and Nasir Jamshed contributed significantly to the wining cause as they dented the tourist’s aim of lifting the trophy
for the first time in their history, including four final appearances.
In account of all this, Bettor.com takes a look on some of the brilliant individual performances in the recently concluded Faysal Bank T20 cup.
Nasir Jamshed
Lahore won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting paradise. The pressure was on the openers to give a smashing start to pile up big runs to challenge the dashing batting line-up of Karachi. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-c78728 Jamshed, the opener took full advantage of the home
conditions and crowd as he struck a well made 67 runs of 57 runs. In his hunt for runs, the left hander gathered five dazzling boundaries and two towering sixes. Mainly, he played in-front of the wicket with a straight bat, and his drives and lofted shots
were a treat to watch. In his partnership of 72 runs with Shehzad, he was a silent partner as compared to colleague. In addition, his role was more of consolidator as his fellow opening batsman was going on the all-out attack. Nasir again found himself in
a match winning partnership with Abdul Razzak as the duo added 84 runs for the 3rd wicket. The dasher’s sublime innings came to an end with a run-out, but it was too late as the damage was done.
Ahmed Shehzad
As an aggressive right handed batsman, he has already shown enough potential to wear national colours. In his association with his opening fellow, he was the dominant male as he struck a ballistic 43 runs in just 25 balls. In his impressive display with
the bat, the right hand dasher hammered 2 huge sixes and cracked 5 brilliant boundaries. Shehzad set the tone for his team to mountain up a total of 221 runs. Mainly, his shot scoring zones were long-on and mid-wicket as he hit one of his six off Sami, right
over the bowlers head. In order to play more aggressively, he just skied one into the air and was caught by Sami off the bowling of Azam Hussian.
Abdul Razzak
Abdul Razzak showed the dolphins what he is made up of, as he bludgeoned the touring team to all parts of the corner. In doing so, his bat did the lot of talking as the white cherry received a lot of beating at the hands of the all-rounder.  Razzak just
muscled his way to a scintillating 71 runs of just 29 balls as he boosted his team’s total to 221. In his act of brutality, he spanked four boundaries, and 6 sky scrapers out of the park. In doing so, he blew away his oppositions hope of lifting the trophy
for the first time and earned himself a man-of-match award.
Wahab Riaz
The Lions premier quick bowler, bowled one of the best spells you will ever wish to see, in T20 cricket.  Wahab Riaz’s spell, in the end, made the real difference as he delivered his mean and accurate display of left-arm fast bowling. In the middle overs
he made life difficult for the opposing batsman as he finished off the Dolphins innings in spectacular fashion with amazing figures of 3/14 in 3.4 overs.
