Even if we leave behind these controversies, every single cricket fan in Pakistan knows that they can never rely on Afridi when he has the bat in his hand.
Afridi is without doubt a match-winner when it comes to his bowling but when Boom Boom has the bat in his hand, he is someone, who has never bothered about the situation of the team. He just knows one way to play and it is a proven fact that he does not
possess the ability to adapt to different situations.
There is no doubt about the ability of the man as he is one of the most talented cricketers in the history of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket. However, it will not be wrong to say that he is also one of the most irresponsible players the country has ever produced.
Many former cricketers from Pakistan believe that Afridi should never have been made the captain of the Cornered Tigers because a skipper is supposed to be the most responsible person of a cricket team and responsibility is the last thing one can associate
with the aggressive all-rounder.

He said that the differences between the team management should have been resolved within the dressing room, rather than making it public in front of the media.
The legendary leg-spinner said, "Nowadays, it has become a joke to announce your retirement. Our players are doing it regularly and backing out and only causing embarrassment for Pakistan cricket. I don't think there were any circumstances to behave in this
matter. He is part of the management and it is his responsibility to ensure internal issues are sorted out internally".
PCB has suspended the central contract of the former captain and has also cancelled all the No Objection Certificates (NOC’s) that the board issued to Afridi to play professional cricket outside Pakistan.
As a result Boom Boom cannot play county cricket for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 Premier League unless, or, until he resolves matters with PCB.
The sanctions have made Afridi accept that he breached PCB’s code of conduct and now he wants to settle the issues with the board.
However, PCB intends to take strict action against the leg-spinner so that an example can be set for players in the future.
Afridi has surely brought many laurels for Pakistan in the past, but this action of his and many more in past have brought nothing but a bad name for the country, which made him a superstar.
He can still serve Pakistan cricket till the next World Cup in 2015 and he can be a valuable player for the country.
However, the need of the hour is for him is to realize his fault and make sure that he does not repeat childish mistakes in the future. A responsible Afridi can help Pakistan defeat the best teams of the world.
