Pakistan a power in the cricketing world reckons http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 – Cricket News Update
Misbah-ul-Haq, the skipper of the Pakistan cricket team, was thrilled after romping to victory over England in the third Test match of the series played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 324 runs, the English were bowled out
for 252, giving Pakistan a 71 runs win.
Misbah and his men created history on Monday, February 6 when they defeated the number one Test side in the world. It was the third defeat of the series inflicted by Pakistan, and in the process they clinched the series 3-0 and completed their first-ever
whitewash over England.
Misbah said that the cricketing world has not been taking Pakistan seriously over the last few years, but after their magnificent performance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Green Shirts will not be ignored any more.
The skipper warned other teams to be cautious of Pakistan, as the Men in Green are fast becoming a force to reckon with.
Misbah said, “We showed the world again that we are a power in the cricketing world. Now, it's time to give importance to the Pakistan team again. Everybody has to look out for Pakistan cricket because everybody was just ignoring our cricket, our team and
lot of things were said about the team.”
The Pakistan cricket team has not played at home since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009. Misbah hoped that the three nil thumping of the English team will pave the way for the return of cricket to Pakistan.
Putting forward http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625, the playing nations should think about it and revive our international
cricket. It's almost one year now that I haven't stayed at home for not more than a month, it's a difficult thing for cricketers.”
The No.1 status of the English team is now under threat. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 who play New Zealand in a Test match series in March, can dethrone them to take the No.1 spot, if they emerge victorious. Pakistan, who are currently ranked fifth in Test match rankings,
have a chance to move in the top four, if they beat http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 in a two match Test series, starting in April 2012.
