Pakistan all-out for 184 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Canada-c748 in ICC World Cup 2011
UPDATE: Pakistan won by 46 runs; Pakistan 184 (43 ov), Canada 138 (42.5 ov)
Pakistan struggled in their Group A match of the ICC World Cup against Canada, as the Men-in-Green were bowled-out for 184 runs in 43 overs. The match is being played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ahmed-Shehzad-c42359 yet again looked promising at the start of the innings for Pakistan, but they didn’t manage to score too many runs. Hafeez was the first man to be dismissed after scoring 11 runs from 12 balls.
Shehzad followed his opening partner, and threw his wicket away playing a careless shot. He wasted yet another opportunity to perform in the mega event, as he was sent back to the pavilion after adding just 12 runs to the total. The veteran batsman Younis Khan never looked comfortable in the middle today. He was struck on the pads right in front of the stumps, and the umpire gave him out. Younis only managed six runs off 13 balls.
The dismissal of wicketkeeper batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595. The pair rescued their team from trouble with a 73 run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Umar narrowly missed out on a half-century, as he was dismissed for 48 runs. However, he had laid a solid platform for the lower middle-order. Adding insult to injury, Misbah also failed to capitalise on the start he got to his innings. The veteran player had to take the long walk back to the pavilion after adding 37 runs to the total.
Pakistan skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Razzaq-c41623 was yet again the major disappointment for his team, as the veteran all-rounder failed to impress with the bat.
Harvir Baidwan was the pick of the bowlers for his team, as he took three wickets. He got good support from Balaji Rao, Jimmy Hansra and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rizwan-Cheema-c2328, who grabbed two wickets each. Canada have a very good chance of pulling off an upset in the World Cup. However, they will have to deal with the Pakistani bowlers, who are not easy to bat against.
