Pakistan batting fails as they post 139 all out against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 – Cricket Update
The Pakistan team seems to have taken their foot completely off the peddle after winning the series 3-0 in the first three matches of the five match ODI series against West Indies.
The batting performance by the Men in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 in the fifth and final game at Guyana was quite pedestrian and most of the players looked jaded and uninterested in staying on the pitch. The fact that just three players managed to get into double figures underlines
the complacency among the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 line-up.
The pitch in Guyana was not easy and the ball did not come easily up to the bat, but that does not change the fact that application and commitment was missing in Pakistan’s batting line-up.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taufeeq-Umar-c92889 made a come-back in the team and opened the innings with Muhammad Hafeez. The start was quite sedate and both batsmen looked determined to get their eye in against the new ball.
It was not a triumphant come-back for Taufeeq, as the left-hander was dismissed for just three runs by Ravi Rampaul. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ahmed-Shehzad-c42359 the right-hander who was demoted from the opening slot did not fail to disappoint yet again. The flashy batsman normally regarded
as someone who rushes his innings too much at times decided to take his time and looked to play out the new ball. His painful stay at the wicket lasted for 33 balls from which he managed just nine runs, as he was dismissed by Darren Sammy.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972, the most consistent Pakistan batsman of this series
came in next but it was not to be his day and he left for just one run.
As all this was going on at one end, Muhammad Hafeez continued to add runs at his own pace from the other end.
Hafeez completed his half century and was finally dismissed for 55 runs from 83 balls with six boundaries. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595 and Shahid Afridi got together in the middle. Akmal scored 24 runs from 27 balls before being cleaned up by Rampaul.
Afridi had one more chance to get some runs under his belt before flying back home. The captain disappointed yet again and was caught behind off the bowling of Rampaul for nine runs.
Wickets continued to tumble and wicket-keeper Muhammad http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Salman-c88163 was only the third batsman to make it into double figures with 19 unbeaten runs. Pakistan was all out at 139 in the 42nd over. Rampaul claimed 4 and Darren Sammy got three wickets.
