Pakistan cricket in a new turmoil as big mouthed Shahid Afridi sacked as One Day captain
For the umpteenth time in his tenure, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ijaz Butt has drawn the wrath of cricket fans and experts in the country as he sacks one of the most popular players in the country, Shahid Afridi, from the post of One Day
International (ODI) captain.
Afridi has been named in the team that is set to tour Ireland for a two-match ODI series later this month. He has been replaced by Misbah Ul Haq, the captain of the test team who is currently leading the team in the two test matches series against the West
Indies.

He was in great form with the ball too, ending the World Cup on the top of bowling standings with 21 victims in the tournament.

Even before the World Cup, he was embroiled in a controversy as the player criticized the selection of the team before the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 tour and looked set to lose captaincy for the premier tournament, yet better sense prevailed and he was named skipper.
However, this time around Ijaz Butt has swallowed the bitter pill and sacked him despite his impressive record this year. He had stated that captaincy was not guaranteed for anyone during an interview with a TV channel in Pakistan yesterday and today made
the announcement of his decision.
"I didn't give any assurances to anyone and we are still in the process of debating the changes for the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 which is also important," the PCB chief added.
Meanwhile PCB has announced a 16-member team for the two-match series, the matches would be played in Ireland on 28th and 30th of this month.
14 members of the squad are presently in the West Indies for the Test match series, Younis and Afridi would join the team in Belfast.
