Pakistan cricket team will have a three to four day conditioning camp ahead of Zimbabwe tour – Cricket News Update
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources have claimed that the national team will have only a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Short-c90107 conditioning session and not a regular training camp ahead of its Zimbabwe tour, as the camp clashes with the sacred month of Ramadan, starting on August 2.
Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to tour Zimbabwe in August-September and will play the low-ranked side in all the three formats of game during their three-week stay. The PCB official told the media reporters that the board has decided to organize a three
to four day practicing camp for the team before it leaves for Harare, on August 24.
"Since Ramazan starts from around August 2 and the team has to leave for Harare around the 24th it has been decided to have a three-four days conditioning camp before the team's departure," a Pakistan Cricket Board official said.
The schedule for the conditioning camp has not yet been finalized as the PCB chief, Ijaz Butt and the Pakistan cricket team head coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and is scheduled to come back home
on July 18, while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128’s leave is due to end on July 21. The schedule of the camp will be finalized once both the PCB chief and the head coach arrive in Pakistan.
In the meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has organized a fast-track camp at the National Cricket Academy, under the supervision of chief selector, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chaudhri-Ijaz-Ahmed-c50531. Members of the national team available
in Pakistan and leading players from the domestic circuit have been invited to practice in the camp, which is scheduled to run till the end of this month.
The source said that since the fast-track camp is underway in Lahore, there is no purpose left behind having a full-fledged training camp ahead of the Zimbabwe tour.
