Pakistan faces Heavy criticism from Abdul Qadir after their T20 Defeat against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760
Spin maestro and former Chief selector Abdul Qadir, expressed his disappointment with the performance of the Pakistani team during the recent Twenty20 International against West Indies.
The T20I, which West Indies won by 7 runs, was played at the Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, on 21 April, 2011.
Qadir lashed out at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s performance after their 7 runs defeat against the Caribbean kings in the close encounter, agreeing that the team is correctly titled as 'unpredictable'.
Qadir stated that it's time for players to get serious in their business and start playing responsible cricket. Poor shot selection has spread like a contagious disease in Pakistan’s batting order, one poor shot costs one wicket and then the whole team is
disrupted like a pack of cards.
In order to survive in the immensely competitive realm of International cricket, the Pakistani team desperately needs to pull up their socks, otherwise their survival as far as batting is concerned, would be very difficult.
Qadir expressed his anger, saying, “By losing to West Indies, Pakistan have proved their label of an ‘unpredictable side’ correct.”
As far as unpredictably is concerned Pakistan team can be ranked as the undisputed champion of unpredictably, inconsistency is the word that is more often associated with the Men in Green.
Qadir also addressed the basic flaw of poor shot selection by quoting the example of Ahmed Shahzad and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972.
Both the batsmen lost their wickets cheaply, Shehzad got caught by Barnwell off the bowling of Rampaul and Misbah gifted his wicket, hitting the stumps with his foot.
The spin wizard advised the Pakistani batsmen to learn from their mistakes and not to repeat them.
He said “Pakistan should improve itself and players should start taking responsibility. A team cannot win when players play irresponsible shots as Ahmed Shahzad and Misbah-ul-Haq played during the T20 match”
While the Pakistan side had some of its senior players such as, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shivnarine-Chanderpaul-c90073 and Ramnaresh Sarwan, however, they still managed to
defeat a strong Pakistan side.
Qadir pointed out that the Pakistani team should have anticipated top performances from Bishoo, Simmons and Bravo given the fact that their squad was missing major players.
Qadir also mentioned that the Pakistan Cricket board is working hard to present their team as World class performers but performances like these will lay all their efforts to waste.
Qadir strictly asked the team to work hard, put more effort in the practice sessions and focus mainly on their temperament in order to perform consistently, proving to the World that the Men in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 belong in the top teams of international cricket.
