Pakistan in firm control at Lunch on Day 3 against West Indies – Cricket news
Pakistan ended the first session on Day 3 in firm control and lead West Indies by 104 in the 2nd innings they are at 55/0.
Pakistan’s bowling got them back in the game on the second day of the 2nd Test against West Indies after their batting had once again failed against a mediocre West Indian attack. Pakistan spinners kept a strangle hold on West Indian batting and
got eight wickets on the first day for 184 runs. Visitors would have been looking to wrap up the Windies innings early in the first session and get back to batting but it did not pan out that way for them.
Last two wickets from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KAJ-Roach-c1758 at the other end and
the two continued to frustrate the Pakistan attack. The two had been together for good part of the last session on Day 2 and carried on the good work in the morning. The resistance was finally broken when Roach was dismissed for 29 runs from 103 balls by Mohammad
Hafeez and the partnership of 60 runs was eventually ended. Devendra Bishoo came in at number eleven and showed that he was determined to make http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 fight for his wicket but his resistance did not last long and he was dismissed for just 1 from 12 balls
by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Saeed-Ajmal-c87859.  West Indies were all out for 223 conceding a lead of 49 runs from the first innings.
Pakistan know that they have to make the 2nd innings count if they are to level the two match series. Out-of-form Pakistan openers, Muhammad Hafeez and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taufeeq-Umar-c92889, for a change put up a solid opening stand of 55 runs in the 2nd innings.
However, Taufeeq was dropped twice in the slips but he would not complain as he has a chance to finally justify his selection by notching up a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Griffith-c919 score in his final innings on the tour. Pakistan went to lunch at 55 for no loss and 104 runs ahead in total.
