ICC, in its two-day Chief Executive Committee (CEC) meeting in Dubai has announced an exceptional dispensation policy, according to which a series can be held at an “unsafe” venue, provided that match officials are appointed from the respective countries.

Cricket Board, expressed satisfaction over the proposed safety measures. He further assured his help to bring back International Cricket to the terrorism-effected country in the near future.
The BCB officials visited two cities, where the proposed series will be staged and upon reviewing them - passed their assessment to the government, which will make the final decision.
This will be the first international match in Pakistan after March 2009, when the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked by terrorists on their way to the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore.
PCB however, in order to seek dispensation of appointing local match officials, will require writing a formal request to the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 for approval.
The CEC has reiterated that the ICC’s responsibility in a bilateral series is only limited to ensure the security and safety arrangements for the match officials, which are made after the tour has been confirmed and security plans are formed. The decision
whether the tour should take place or not is to be made by the visiting team.
“In the event of the participating countries deciding that the tour should proceed and the ICC determining that it was unsafe to appoint match officials to the tour, a special dispensation to allow non-neutral match officials to participate in the matches
would be required from the ICC Board,” said the ICC official after the CEC meeting on Tuesday.
Currently, two proposals have been tabled for the tour, one of which is a three-match ODI series and other is two ODIs and a Twenty20 international. The tour is expected to take place from April 16 to 26, with the two venues being the Gaddafi stadium and
the National Stadium in Karachi.
