After the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) showed their lack of commitment towards going ahead with a series in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) while
expressing regret, revealed that Pakistan players could be barred from participating in BPL.
A statement released by the PCB on Monday read, “For the 2013 edition of the BPL, we have to see the commitments and engagements of our players before releasing them for the tournament. To associate the release the Pakistani players with Bangladesh tour
to Pakistan does not hold any merit.”
Meanwhile, this week the BCB irked the PCB by expressing their concerns regarding the security situation in Pakistan, and insisted that the conditions had not improved.
This would now put on hold Pakistan’s home series against Bangladesh, continuing a hiatus of international cricket in the country since 2009.
Some of the Pakistan players who were bought at the BPL player auction on December 20 included http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Sami-c77289.
The players were not yet issued No Objection Certificate (NOCs) by the PCB to play in the T20 league.
