http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Shah-c98252 are the two slow bowlers who have been doing well in the national scene but still there are some question marks over their credentials at the international level.
The 56-year-old is of the opinion that leg-spinners usually have the ability to change the course of a match and the board should nurture talent at the grass-root level.
“In my view, leg spin in Pakistan needs special attention. Infact, the PCB should set up an academy specifically for spinners, especially leg-spin,” he said.
Abdul Qadir, who himself is rated as one of the great leg-spinners of the game, has revealed that he is ready to render his services, if the PCB takes such an initiative,
The former cricketer added, “I will be more than happy to be involved in this project and will do my utmost – even if I have to go to every part of Pakistan to discover and groom leg spinners. This is one form of bowling that can win you matches in any conditions.
We should not let this art (leg spin) fade away as this has brought great fame to our country.”
