Pakistan to focus on limitations against West Indies
Pakistan will look forward to take revenge from West Indies in the second and final Test, which will be played at Saint Kitts from 20th May, 2011.
Pakistan lost the first Test match at Providence Stadium, Guyana, which was played from 12th May to 15th May, 2011. Their spin bowling trio came out with a splendid performance in both the innings but the batting lacked the calibre
required from an international side.
West Indies were bowled out at 226 runs in their first innings, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lendl-Mark-Platter-Simmons-c72458 fought hard and top scored with 49 runs.
The Pakistani batting line up flopped and one can imagine their strength if their bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdur-Rehman-Cheema-c41700, was the top scorer with 40 runs.
The Windies lost nine wickets for just 104 runs but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Chanderpaul-c2390 and Devendra Bishoo led them to 152 runs at the end.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595 scored 47 runs.
Pakistani spinners dominated and grabbed 17 wickets in both innings, while they were out played by the attacking pace attack of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, who claimed 16 wickets in the match.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-Khan-Niazi-c76385 was a concerned Captain after the match and blamed his batsmen for their poor show with the bat
"When we lost three wickets very early in the second innings, it was really difficult for us because of the way West Indies were bowling, but we fought hard".
They have to forget what happened in the first Test and should concentrate on the second Test to retain some respect by levelling the series. They have to learn the art to stay at the wicket and especially against fast bowlers, who were dominant in the first
Test.
Misbah appreciated the West Indian team work that eventually won them the match.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Darren-Julius-Garvey-Sammy-c52468 will be anticipating a clean sweep in the series by winning the second Test and he is confident his boys are capable of maintaining their winning ways.
“We did not bat very well (in the first Test), so we need to put decent totals on the board because we know the way our bowlers have been bowling over the last year, we believe we are capable of getting 20 wickets. We just need to keep improving in all disciplines,
and we can come out victorious in the second Test".
It will be the only third Test match, which http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peter-Willey-c81951 be played at Saint Kitts, the previous two matches were high scoring and ended without a result.
Pakistan will fight hard to win the match and end the tour on a promising note but their batsmen have to perform well and the bowlers need to keep up their wicket–taking momentum from the previous match.
