Pakistan v England: Ian Bell available for the third Test – Cricket News Update
The English middle-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, which begins at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium from Friday, February 3.
The availability of the right-hander was in serious jeopardy after he missed the practice session on Wednesday due to a stomach bug. England will have his services available to them however, as he was seen practicing with the rest of his teammates on Thursday.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964, the English skipper revealed that Bell was not a 100 percent fit on Wednesday hence he did not practice with the rest of the team.
Strauss said, “Bell was laid low yesterday but he's back practising today.”
It seems that the English team is a little fickle when it comes to playing out of their comfort zone. Bell is not the first batsman on tour to suffer the stomach bug, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RS-Bopara-c2373 have nursed the bug while on tour.
Sharing his views on the issue, Strauss said, “It's one of those things that happens on a different tour of a different country, different foods and everything. You've got to make the best of the situation and try and avoid it happening to you. The other
10 have to step up for 24 hours, until they get better.”
It will be a relief for the English camp to have Bell back in the squad. The team has struggled in the first two Tests, and they will be playing to restore some pride.
Even though the batsman has not been amongst the runs in the ongoing series, his form last year was exceptional, which means that he will avoid the axe. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Eoin-Joseph-Gerard-Morgan-c56032 might not be so lucky and there is a chance Ravi Bopara will receive yet another chance to
salvage his Test career in place of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707.
The English middle order has not been able to cope with the spin attack of Pakistan in the on-going series. The middle order which comprises of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806, Ian Bell, and Eoin Morgan have collectively made 94 runs at an abysmal average of 7.83.
