The Men in Green won the toss and opted to bat first in near perfect batting conditions at the biggest stadium amongst the five international venues in the Sri Lankan capital city.

Younis was brilliant in manoeuvring the strike as he ended up scoring 72 runs off only 76 balls, his innings included 4 fours.
