Pakistan completed their dominance over Sri Lanka after winning the one-off Twenty20 match of the series at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE) on Friday, November 25, 2011.
The hosts had already won the Test and One Day International (ODI) series convincingly and carried on with the same momentum in the shortest version of the game, winning it by five wickets and three balls remaining.
Sri Lanka’s skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TM-Dilshan-c2691 won the toss and elected to bat first. He wanted to put pressure on the opposition by posting a solid target, but batting failed him once again, as the entire team was dismissed for 141 runs in 19.3 overs.
The pitch in Abu Dhabi was good for batting and a high scoring game was expected. However, the Pakistani bowlers did a fabulous job, restricting the opposition below 150.
Dilshan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/WU-Tharanga-c2802 walked out in the middle to open the innings for the visitors and the pair went off to a flying start, scoring 30 runs in a very quick time.
The latter was not taking too many risks though, as he was trying to rotate the strike more often. boundaries.
Dilshan did not panic despite the fall of his opening partner and kept on attacking the bowlers in the power-play.
However, the Lankan skipper was trying to be over aggressive and that cost him a chance of making a significant impression.
The 35-year-old was sent back to the pavilion after contributing 28 runs to the total off just 15 balls with the help of four boundaries.
Veteran http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KC-Sangakkara-c1779 was the next man to be dismissed in the innings, as he failed to get going this time around. He scored just nine runs in his short stay at the wicket.
A 32-run stand for the fourth wicket between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 in control, but wickets started to tumble after that.
The latter got out after collecting 14 runs whereas Chandimal scored a solid knock of 56 runs from 44 deliveries.
The rest of the batting was below par, as the team was all out for 141 runs in 19.3 overs.

The latter got dismissed after scoring a run-a-ball 33 with the help of three fours, but Misbah carried onto guide his side to victory. He remained unbeaten on 48 off 38 balls until the end and smashed three fours and a six in his solid outing.
Veteran http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 also helped his captain, scoring 22 runs from just 15 balls with the help of two monstrous sixes.
Dilshan was impressive with the ball, picking up one wicket, but failed to save his side from losing.
