Pakistan vs. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 to use ‘music therapy’ to calm their nerves
Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has suggested http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391.
“It wouldn't be a bad idea for the players to relax and soothe themselves by listening to music or humming the tunes of their favourite songs before or during the match,” said Miandad while talking to a leading news agency.
Cricket fever has obsessed the Subcontinent for the semi-final game between the two Asian giants, who have a rich history of rivalry since their independence in 1947.
The only one topic dominating the World Cup headlines since the two archrivals set up the semi-final rendezvous in Mohali, has been the Indo-Pak clash with the cricket pundits and the fans speculating about the winner of the contest.
Escaping the hype created by the media has been a kind of mission impossible for players of both the sides but Miandad has a piece of advice for his countrymen to block out all the outside distractions.
“When the pressures are great and stakes are high, players can't help from being affected by the environment,” said the legendary batsman. “In our days we used music therapy to great effect in high pressure matches. Because when you are
relaxed you are focused 100 per cent on cricket.”
Miandad, who is a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board director, also urged the arch foes to take advantage of the much-hyped Mohali game to build bridges.
When asked about the favourite for Wednesday’s game, Miandad said it was quite tough to say who will win, however he did opine that his heart says Pakistan will prevail in the end.
Miandad also urged Afridi and his men to play with lot of unity and withstand a lot of pressure if they are to make it to the tournament final.
