Pakistan vs. India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni appeals restraint after Mohali semi-final

“Somebody has to lose, irrespective of all the political talk and cricketing hype,” said the Ranchi boy while talking to the media reporters on the eve of the semi-final. “At the end of 30th http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391, one team loses. It does not
happen in cricket alone; it happens in all sports.”
Dhoni said that the whole team has been kept away from the media ahead of the mouth-watering encounter so that the players could just focus on their game and not get distracted by the hype created by the media.
Dhoni also turned down the talks of pressure and said that they are taking it as just another game. He said that leading the side in a high profile game, which would be witnessed by the Prime Ministers of respective countries, was an honour
and added that he will try his absolute best to make it an exhilarating contest.
“If you take it as a pressure job, you will find yourself in a pressure cooker,” said the cool Indian skipper.
The hard-hitting wicketkeeper batsman is yet to prove a point with the bat in the ongoing mega event. His batting form has been a subject of discussion across the cricketing corridors over the past few days. Many feel that his poor batting
form might be due to the added pressure of captaincy.
However, Dhoni has declined the perception and said that it was due to lack of opportunities and not the captaincy pressure.
“It is only a cricketing aspect, nothing to do with form. I have been batting quite well. Sometimes the situations are not great to play flamboyant cricket,” said the wicketkeeper batsman from Ranchi. “If you are batting at No. 5, 6 or 7,
you don't get to bat much if the top order scores…It does not go your way always. Form has not been a worry.”
Talking about the Mohali pitch, the home skipper said that he has not seen the track yet so he cannot comment how would it behave on Wednesday. However, he did opine that the Mohali strip is usually a batting-friendly wicket.
