http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and has asked his players to focus on the game only.
“Well, we know the kind of media hype India-Pakistan matches generate,” said Dhoni while talking to the media reporters on the eve of the much-anticipated semi-final clash. “We are not getting involved in all this. We need to know what we
are expected to do and focus on that.”
The high profile status of the Mohali encounter could be judged by the fact that the Prime Ministers of both the countries would be present in Mohali on Wednesday to witness the mouth-watering clash. Dhoni said that it would be a huge responsibility
upon him as well as the players and vowed that he would try his level best to make the game a well-contested and exhilarating match.
India would start the game as favourites but the cricketing pundits fear Dhoni and his men may collapse against the pressure of expectations attached with them. However, Dhoni has turned down the talks of pressure and said that they are
well prepared for the encounter.
When asked about the importance of the game, Dhoni said every game has its own importance. He further added that after some time the cricketers as well as the fans forget everything and what remains in the end is just a 50-over game.
“In a cricketer's life there will be many instances, this is no doubt an important match. After some time you forget…At the end of the day, it remains a 50 overs game; you have to be at your best. You have to maintain the intensity for 100
overs to win the game,” said the hard-hitting wicketkeeper batsman from Ranchi.
Talking about the opposition line-up, Dhoni said Pakistan have a balanced and an in-form bowling attack. However, he said that the Indian batting line is capable of facing any kind of attack.
