Pakistan win the toss and elect to bat
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 has won the toss and elected to bat first at Christchurch in the third and final Twenty20 match. New Zealand has already won the series by winning the first two matches of the on-going series.
Afridi had won the toss in the last match as well and he decided to put New Zealand into bat. The decision proved to be a wrong one as the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 team hammered 185 runs in their allotted twenty overs.
In reply, the Pakistan team was unable to chase down the total after a good start from Mohammad Hafeez. Pakistan lost the match by 39 runs.
There have been a few changes made to both the sides for the final match. Pakistan have rested the pace duo of Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul for the final match. Gul has been out of touch in the first two matches and has proved to be very expensive in both
the matches played until now.
Shoaib also proved to be expensive but he picked up wickets in both the matches unlike Gul. Left arm spinner Abdur Rehman and fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed have replaced both the fast bowlers for this match.
This match will be the debut for Tanvir Ahmed in Twenty20 cricket. He was a part of the team in the South African series which was played in UAE. He took six wickets on his debut.
Afridi said on winning the toss, “Pitch is good, looks pretty much dry. It's dead grass on the pitch. We'll try to put a good total. Abdur Rehman and Tanvir Ahmed are playing in place of Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul. I'm not opening, will bat around No 5 or
6.”
New Zealand have also made two changes in the team. The Kiwi team will be playing with the same line-up as the first match as Dean Brownlie and Adam Milne have been added in the playing eleven.
The players who will miss out are Ian http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dean-Brownlie-c1349 and Adam Milne get another opportunity. Does not look like a track for two spinners, unfortunate for Woodcock to miss out.
This ground is similar to Eden Park with the angles.”
