Pakistani coach selected for international training Course: Futsal Update
A Pakistani Futsal coach Shahzad Anwer will be attending football coaching course which will be held from May 23 to 27 at Sao Paulo in Brazil.
Shahzad Anwar is a licensed ‘A’ coach of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and is currently the best Futsal coach in the country. He belongs to Sargodha, Pakistan. He is being sponsored by the Brazilian embassy in Pakistan.
The President of the PFF, Mr Faisal Saleh Hayat has extended his heartiest gratitude towards the Brazilian ambassador in Pakistan, Mr Alfredo Leoni. Both of the officials meet at Lahore on Friday. The course will be conducted by former Brazilian Carlos Alberto Parreira. The course will continue for five days training sessions. The course will be attended by 27 head coaches from different countries of the world.
Shahzad Anwar said, “Everyone who knows little bit about football and the new emerging form of the sport Futsal will have the desire to visit Brazil and meet its footballers. It was a dream come true, and I am very happy with the move, who acted as a head coach of Pakistan during a friendly game against Malaysia in 2008”.
Brazil is the champion in both Football and Futsal so it is a great opportunity for the Pakistani coach to attend a coaching course of high merit.
Shahzad Anwar is one of the leading coaches of the PFF. He has been attached with the federation for many numbers of years. He is the head coach of the national team since 2008. He has also been working with international coaches on international circuit. Shehzad assisted George Kottan, an Austrian coach, during the 2009 Prime Minister Cup in Nepal, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup qualifiers in Sri Lanka, SAFF Championship in Dhaka. He has worked on many friendly fixtures in United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand and Qatar.
In Malaysia 2010 he also acted as an instructor for the Futsal course and also AFC License B course at Lahore.
Shahzad is looking forward to for the training of the national team for the World Cup 2014 qualifiers and also give training to the best Futsal players, who will be selected after the national Futsal championship going to be held in June, 2011.
