Pakistani players are ‘cheats, frauds and liars’ cries Darrell Hair
Darrell Hair, the controversial and biased former Australian Test umpire in a recent outburst against the Pakistan team following ball tampering allegations against Shoaib Akhtar in the last match of the tournament, has come out of hibernation to label Pakistani
cricketers as “cheats, frauds and liars”. He heavily castigated the International Cricket Council for not taking appropriate action against Shoaib Akhtar despite having ‘pictorial’ evidence against the bowler which was published in a particular English tabloid.
Hair, who has stood in 78 Tests and 135 ODI’s, was forced into retirement after accusing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 of ball tampering, to which the Pakistani players had protested by staying in their dressing rooms after the tea break for a brief period. In the meantime,
Hair forfeited the match that Pakistan looked all set to win in England’s favour. His career was then ruined because of his oxymoronic stance in the controversial Oval test. Hair went on to retire in 2008 due to the fall-out from that particular incident.
Hair made these allegations after reports of deliberate slow playing emerged in an English Tabloid, based on which the ICC decided to conduct an investigation into the matter. Of course, in retaliation, the chairman of the PCB alleged the English players
of taking ‘enormous’ amounts of bribes to throw away the Oval ODI. The ECB and the English players, infuriated at the accusations, have now demanded compensation from the PCB, along with an apology from Ijaz Butt and the PCB. The wordings of the apology have
also been stated by the ECB in that letter.

"The fans, viewers and crowds have been watching cheats and liars. How long will they continue to part with their money to watch manipulated matches and players cheating? The ICC should be ashamed to allow these matches to take place." Darrel Hair said.
"Unfortunately the Pakistan cricketers show no respect for the game and continually attempt to cheat. The game as currently being played by Pakistan is a hoax and a fraud to the public."
Despite the fact that England and Pakistan showed willingness to resume the match, Darrell Hair and Billy Doctrove refused to do so. This man then demanded of the ICC to pay him $ 500,000 in exchange for his resignation which effectively destroyed his career
with the governing body banning him in November, 2006.
