Pakistani players joining the Sri Lankan Premier League - Cricket News Update
According to reports, Pakistan’s middle-order batsmen, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319, have also joined the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL).

Meanwhile, left-handed batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Irfan-c76983, also got contracts with the league.
Earlier, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board (PCB) stated that cricket board would not stop any Pakistani player from participating in the SLPL.
According to the governing body of cricket in Pakistan, they have granted No Objection Certificates to many national players.
"So far the organisers of the league have approached us directly for giving NOCs to players including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Hafeez-c76898 amongst others and we have given them the required NOCs,” The chief operating officer of PCB,
Subhan Ahmad expressed.
After the statement of Ahmad, Pakistani players availed the chance to participate in the SLPL, which will surely help the selection committee to oversee the selection options for the upcoming World Twenyt20 championship.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the star all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sahibzada-Mohammad-Shahid-Khan-Afridi-c87933, who represented Pakistan in the 43 Twenty20 matches, will also play the Lankan league, if PCB gives him NOC.
However, PCB claimed that the SLPL has yet not asked them to issue NOC to former skipper, Afridi, to play in the event.
According to the reports, the hard-hitting batsman will lead one of the franchises in the SLPL, and accepted the offer for a sum of USD 35,000 for the opening season.
Afridi also confirmed his availability for the league.
