Pakistan’s star all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Razzaq-c41623 was concerned over missing a few games of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament, as he has not been issued the visa from the Indian High Commission until now.
A source close to the Pakistani player stated, “The Indian High Commission has yet to issue him the visa to travel to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and he is worried he might miss a couple of early games which are so important for any team.”
Razzaq was excited on being the only Pakistani featuring in the Champions League Twenty20 and stated that he has always loved to play cricket in his neighbouring country.
Earlier, the veteran all-rounder had stated, “When we played in the ICL (Indian Cricket League) the whole charm of that league was Pakistani players playing in India, so I hope that after I go and play the Champions League, India also open doors of IPL (Indian
Premier League) for Pakistani players.”
There will be no team from Pakistan in the tournament starting from next week, but Razzaq will represent his county side http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and will be looking forward to
repeat his performances once he gets a chance to play in India.
The 31-year-old player was dropped from his national team after failing to make an impression in the ICC World Cup 2011. He has been inconsistent for the past couple of years, but still has a lot to offer in the shortest version of the game.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently focussing on the future and plenty of youngsters have been given a chance in the last couple of series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045.
However, the team will require a blend of youth and experience in order to be successful against stronger teams. The Men in Green will be really tested once they face England for a complete series at the start of 2012.
