Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif determined to make a comeback, misses ICC World Cup

It has been reported that Pakistani fast bowler, Mohammad Asif, is looking forward to making his comeback to international cricket after clearing his name from spot-fixing charges.
The cricketer was recently banned from all forms of cricket due to his involvement in a spot-fixing controversy along with Test captain, Salman Butt, and fellow bowler, Mohammad Amir, in England last summer in 2010.
He was sentenced to a seven year ban by International Cricket Council’s (ICC) independent three man tribunal, led by Michael Beloff. The seven year ban included two years of suspended ban, which can only be possible, if the player further avoids breaching
or violating the ICC code of conduct.
Asif 28, expressed his disappointment on the tribunal’s verdict, announced recently in Doha. He is hopeful that he will clear his name from the case soon. He is anxiously waiting to make his come back to international cricket.
The banned pace-man has missed the chance to play in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2011. The distressed Asif feels helpless when he sees other players playing cricket when he is no more a part of the team.
Mohammad Asif has refused to comment on the entire spot-fixing scandal, He was quoted, "When the time is right, I will be prepared to speak to anybody regarding the spot-fixing accusations. I have nothing to hide regarding the matter and I would welcome
the opportunity to talk about the accusations in full detail".
Talking about the World Cup, Asif stated that he has immense love and passion for cricket, and it’s very painful to not participate in the mega event, which is a dream for any cricketer. He hopes that the Men in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 would bring the coveted trophy home.
The three players, who have been banned from all forms of cricket, are expected to appeal for the suspension of penalty from the ICC Code of Arbitration for Sports.
Asif was known as the “Glen McGrath of Pakistan” because he bowled with great control and troubled almost all the top batsmen of the world.
