According to Misbah, the all-rounder, Malik has always been right on the money with his performance for Pakistan, and he can transfer his experience to young lads of the team.
Pakistan’s former captain, Malik, has been facing the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) integrity committee to get clearance for selection in the home side.
Earlier, the PCB was not satisfied with the middle-order batsman, suspecting that he was involved in match-fixing, and forwarded his case to its integrity committee to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, PCB’s integrity committee asked Malik to provide detailed explanation over the missing 90,000 pounds from his bank account.
Previously, the former skipper gave unsatisfactory explanations to clear his stance, which were rejected during the meeting of the committee.
However, as per reports, during the integrity committee’s meeting yesterday, the star all-rounder has provided sufficient evidence regarding the missing amount, and it is likely that he would be cleared soon.
In the meantime, team Pakistan’s captain is also backing the experienced batsman, Malik, and cited that if he will be cleared then he should be selected in the squad without any delay.
“Shoaib Malik is a senior and experienced player and the team is in need of his services as he has led the team many times. His inclusion will surely boost the team’s morale. Now it’s upto decision of integrity committee, if it clears him, he can be included in the national squad,” Misbah stated.
Malik’s inclusion in the side can strengthen the batting department of the Pakistani team, whereas his off-spin bowling would be an optional benefit.

He has also taken 21 Test, and 134 One Day International wickets, and has been right on the money with his spin bowling for the team.
