In the latest news from Pakistan cricket, it has been learned from reliable sources that the country is most likely going to miss its top players in the upcoming Super Eight T20 Cup, scheduled to be played in Faisalabad from 24 June to 31 June, 2011.
According to sources, most of the players are busy with their commitments to county sides, for the Friends Life T20 tournament being played in England, which will conclude in August, making it extremely difficult for the players to come back to the country
for their domestic event.

All the cricket stars have taken permission from the PCB before departing for their county stint, nonetheless, the PCB has every right to recall the players for the domestic event, especially the centrally contracts players.
Speaking on the matter, a source said, “The PCB will soon make a decision regarding calling the players back.”
If the players are not called back, the event is most likely going to suffer, as there will be less probability of spectators coming to the grounds to cheer uncapped players. The absence of big names in the tournament will further hamper PCB’s efforts to
resume cricketing activities in the country where international cricket tournaments have been suspended after the terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan team in 2009.
