Palace Moon likely to thrive in Blue Square Bet Stewards´ Cup (Heritage Handicap)
The William Knight trained bay gelding, Palace Moon, is likely to bring home the ace title of the Blue Square Bet Stewards´ Cup (Heritage Handicap) by delivering a convincing performance at the Goodwood racecourse on Saturday, August 4. The Class 2 race
will start at 3:55 (GMT).
The seven-year-old veteran horse will run alongside 27 rivals on the good track of 6 furlongs. A prize cheque worth £62,250 is ready for the supposed winner.
Palace Moon possesses a lot of experience and talent under his belt. Since the dawn of 2012, he has made some glaring marks. On January 22, the talented son of Fantastic Light out of Palace Street marvellously won the 32RedBet.com Conditions Stakes at Kempton.
The skilled gelding moved ahead to finish first in the Get Your Bet On At bluesq.com Handicap at Lingfield on February 11. On March 31, he elegantly finished 4th against half a dozen contestants in the New William Hill iPhone App Conditions Stakes,
held at Kempton.
The Canisbay Bloodstock owned maverick sprinter marvellously grabbed a grand victory in the bluesq.com Handicap at Newbury on May 19. During the fabulous Royal Ascot festival, he finished 8th in the 28-runner race of the Wokingham Stakes (Heritage
Handicap).
These stats show that Palace Moon is carrying a lot of form at the moment. If he manages to capitalize on this form, he will be able to thrive convincingly in today’s marathon.
However, Oasis Dancer has enough potential to impede the gelding. The Ralph Beckett trained brown and grey gelding elegantly won three races in a row from December 10, 2011 to February 25, 2012. Earlier, he finished as the runner-up in a tough contest at
Kempton on November 16.
In the Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) at Ascot on June 23, 2012, the veteran horse finished 18th against 27 rivals.
Thus, Palace Moon will have to face the wrath of Oasis Dancer in the coming contest. In this situation, a neck-to-neck battle is expected between the two worthy contestants. Let us see who of duo manages to thrive. Good luck to all the runners who are lined-up
to perform after a few hours.
