Paleolithic?

could someone explain the differences in the lower, middle, and upper paleolithic in regards to neanderthals and humans?

just something general, doesnt have to be very in depth. when did modern humans become more prominent? when were neanderthals around? thanks

  2. Paleo means old...

    Upper Paleolithic, refers to the oldest part of the Stone Age (The Age in which humans used stone tools)...40,000-10,000 BP!

    There is also Mesolithic (Middle), and Neolithic (New)...

    Moderns humans have been around 195,000 years!

    Neanderthals lived from appx. 325,000 years ago, until about 24,000 years ago...

    Modern humans and Neanderthals co-habited Europe, for at least 10,000 years!
