Palermo Vice-President reckons Inter Milan are baffled ahead of the Coppa Italia final
As the Coppa Italia final draws closer, Inter Milan have started playing mind games which have not been taken gleefully by the Palermo officials. Both teams would lock heads on Sunday, May 29, at Stadio Olimpico in Rome. This in the only time http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 have
come close to winning silverware this season and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 would want to make sure that Inter end their season on a high. Palermo, meanwhile, finds themselves in the final of the competition for the first time since they finished runners-up during the 1978/79
season.
With the final less than 24 hours away, the Inter officials have already started the war of words. Palermo Vice-President, Guglielmo Micciche, believes that the Nerazzurri are afraid of facing the Eagles and are trying to divert their attention away from
the game as a result.
He mentioned that he could not really understand the Nerazzurri tactics and added that the former European Champions seem baffled ahead of the final encounter. The President added that Inter had some injury concerns recently but the players have now been
declared fit to play, which can only be called an amazing recovery by the players.
Micciche added, “Inter fear us and are playing mind games. Something doesn’t convince me about Inter. First they talk about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 who aren’t in good shape, but then those players look ready to take part. If they feel
the need to play these mind games, then it means they fear us.”
The Vice-President also confirmed the reports linking playmaker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Manchester United, but confirmed that no official bid has been received yet. He enthused that the Argentine would certainly be a part of
the starting XI and that Pastore is staying put with the Aquile.
He concluded by saying, “We are only at the end of May, but there have been no concrete offers, so nothing would suggest Pastore will leave. We have always sold players only if they come to us with that express intention. Javier has not done that, as we
want to keep him and he wants to stay.”
Palermo would be hoping to win their first silverware after decades while Inter would hope to prove the Rosanero Vice-President wrong.
