Palermo admit Manchester City target Javier Pastore would be heading to Spain or England
Italian club Palermo have been trying to keep hold of their star midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082 for quite some time now. However, it now seems like the team has finally caved in and are willing to let the Argentine international leave the club.
Club president, Maurizio Zamparini has gone on to admit that a move for the midfielder is bound to take place in the near future, with England or Spain being the likeliest of destinations for the player.
At the moment, Real Madrid and Malaga are being hailed as the favourites to secure the players signature, however, many experts are still favouring Manchester City to swoop ahead of the Spanish teams and land the twenty two year old, before the start of
the new season.
Zamparini, when talking about Pastore and his future at the club, is quoted to have said: "He will go to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid and Malaga are favourites"
Zamparini then went on to state that should a move not be completed within the next fortnight for the midfielder, then he might just end up staying in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and continue playing for Palermo.
"The situation is the hands of the attorney, but in 15 days his future should be solved, otherwise he will stay with us," Zamparini added.
However, the president still placed the odds in favour of the player leaving, mainly because he had expressed his desire to do so, time and time again.
The Palermo president then concluded by stating: "It is 90 per cent sure he will leave, because that is the player's wish. It is too bad, because he is the only world-class player I have had as a president."
Despite Malaga and Madrid being hailed as the favourites to land the player, it seems rather bizarre for anyone to rule Manchester City out of the race to land the player.
City if anything, make the best offers for players, which not only please their clubs, but the players as well.
The Manchester based club just recently went on to complete their capture of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 from the Gunners.
However, their pursuit of Nasri is the reason why the team hasn’t been able to finalize a deal for Pastore.
Nonetheless, with the team theoretically being out of the race to land Nasri, they can now turn their attention to Pastore and in the most likeliest of scenarios, will end up securing a move for the player within the coming week or so.
